Fragment 0.1

But you keep chattering on about Charaxos coming back
With a full-loaded ship. Though I should think Zeus
Knows all these ordeals best, he and the gods; for you there's no need
To dwell on such things;
Better yet, come make me – command me! – to
Pray abundantly to Queen Hera
That he'll return ashore steering a well-guarded
Ship, our Charaxos,
And find us all well. But truly,
Everything else we must entrust to divine spirits,
Since clear skies – even out of formidable gales – do
Swiftly arise.
Whoever are favoured by the King of Olympus,
A helper-spirit amid their troubles already comes
To deliver them, so that they grow blessed
And richly fortuned.
And as for us – if he will lift up his head, our little
Larichos, and indeed someday grow up into a man –
Then we will, from our overbrimming heavy-heartedness, be
Swiftly released.
